Inspired by Curtis Mayfield, Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Blue Magic, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson and Prince to name a few, Joeyo whips up innovative, fresh, funky and real musical recipes that keep you coming back for more!

Growing up in New York City, Joeyo began his musical expedition as a DJ/Emcee, performing at major clubs in the New York City area in the 80’s and 90’s. In 1983, Joeyo’s Rap group was runner ups in the Coca Cola/Tin Pan Apple Dance and Rap Contest, held at Radio City Music Hall.   Disco 3, a group later known as the Fatboyz, were the winners. The Keystones won the Dance contest and later turned into the Rap group, U.T.F.O. The 1985 hit movie, Krush Groove was made from this historical contest.

Joeyo, wanting to expand beyond rapping and spinning other people’s music decided to quietly perfect his craft, singing and playing various musical instruments. While many artist struggle with Versatility, Joeyo makes it look effortless.  His music is an “Unpredictable Audio Adventure,” offering slow romantic groves that put you in the mood, and upbeat Hip Hop, R&B, Trip Hop, Reggae, Drum and Bass, and Dubstep tempo’s that energize!

Joeyo has created a palette of diversity with thousands of original songs under his belt, pushing out material daily.  His Sound Design experience has afforded him the opportunity to work with JWT, RMG Connect, and Balloon Dog Advertising. Joeyo has also worked as A Vocalist for Scorccio Sample Replays.
